The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington has ruled that most of President Donald Trump's tariffs are not legal, with its ruling highly likely to be challenged in the Supreme Court. The Court of Appeals' ruling relates to Trump's so-called reciprocal tariffs that he announced in April, as well as the tariffs he imposed in February against China, Canada and Mexico. He had justified both sets of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, while the court did not address tariffs issued under other legal authority, such as Trump's tariffs on steel and aluminum imports..
