Sydney fund manager Rodney Forrest faces up to 15 years in jail after he pleaded guilty to two counts of insider trading in Platinum Asset Management shares. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission stated Forrest acquired a $2.6 million stake in Platinum Asset Management while he had insider information in August and September 2024, and that he had urged others to buy shares in it; ASIC has also charged Forrest with providing financial services without an Australian Financial Services licence between January and October last year..
