ProAmpac to buy TC Transcontinental Packaging for $1.51bn

US-based flexible packaging provider?ProAmpac has agreed to acquire TC Transcontinental Packaging (TCP) from Canada-based TC Transcontinental (Transcontinental) forA$1.51bn.A

The deal will be finalised in the first quarter of 2026, Acontingent on shareholder approval, regulatory clearances and other standard conditions.A

The acquisition will add manufacturing sites in North America, Latin America, the UK and New Zealand to ProAmpacaEUR(TM)s footprint.AA

The transaction broadens ProAmpac's offering in sustainable packaging solutions and enhances its material science capabilities, with a focus on dairy, meat, medical and pharmaceutical applications.A

The business runs 25 plants and employs 3,500 people.AA

Its activities include extrusion, printing, lamination, converting and recycling, serving the dairy, coffee, meat and poultry, pet food, agriculture, beverages, home and personal care markets, consumer products and medical sectors.A

Goldman Sachs is the lead financial adviser to ProAmpac, with J.P. Morgan Securities also serving as a financial adviser.AA
