Soluna Holdings (NASDAQ: SLNH) has secured a two-year agreement with crypto infrastructure provider Blockware to expand its renewable-powered hosting operations at the Project Dorothy 2 data center in Texas.
Under the terms of the deal, Blockware will deploy approximately 1,500 S21+ mining units, contributing an estimated 250 to 350 petahashes per second (PH/s) of hashrate. The deployment began on April 21 and is expected to be fully operational by June 1. The project marks an initial 5 megawatt (MW) expansion at the site.
Blockware's operations will benefit from Soluna's green-powered hosting environment, which is designed to optimize efficiency and reduce energy costs. The facility will provide full-stack infrastructure support, including maintenance, security, power management, and internet connectivity.
Soluna CEO John Belizaire stated that the partnership reflects growing demand for sustainable, U.S.-based Bitcoin mining and strengthens the company's position in renewable computing. Mason Jappa, CEO of Blockware, noted that the agreement aligns with their mission to increase domestic hashrate while maintaining access to reliable, cost-effective infrastructure.
The Blockware deployment adds to the momentum at Project Dorothy 2 as Soluna continues scaling operations that pair computing workloads with underutilized renewable energy assets.
