SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons made on feeder 
cattle this week due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none reported.  Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none 
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter cows sold with no comparable sales
due to limited sales.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 117.00;
Boners 80-85% lean 118.00-122.00; Lean 85-90% lean 115.00-124.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 100.00-114.00.  Slaughter Bulls: Average dressing 
143.00-155.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 122.50.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1115-1295 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cow with calves under 300 lbs 2200.00-2375.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs none reported.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 66.21; 450-500 lbs 71.55; 500-550 lbs 71.38.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids
4.17-4.82, processor bids 4.47-4.62.  New Crop Soybeans were 8 cents 
higher; elevator bids 9.64-9.94, processor bids 10.47, and exports 10.49
-10.52.  Wheat bids were steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 5.15-5.87.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was .89
lower at 66.27.
