SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Livestock information is currently 
unavailable due to no recent sales reported as a result of Hurricane 
Helene. 
   Hogs on Tuesday:  Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.98 lower at 55.75.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 66.36; 450-500 lbs 72.51; 500-550 lbs 71.40.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 3 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.37-5.02, processor bids 4.82.  New Crop Soybeans were mostly 1 cent 
lower and one location was 21 cents higher; elevator bids 10.06-10.36, 
processor bids 10.96, and export 10.91.  Wheat bids were 3 to 16 cents 
higher; elevator bids 5.07-5.55.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.31
higher at 68.40.
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Wednesday.  Beans bucrts Snap type 35.00, KY type
