SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,529 lbs at 187.61, heifers 1,345 lbs at 187.48. Dressed
delivered steers 997 lbs at 296.21, heifers 866 lbs at 296.00. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 317.84, up
9.41 and Select 292.26, up 3.05.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are steady to 2.00 higher and feeder pigs are 4.00 higher.
Demand steady for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
45.58; 40 lbs cash basis 61.61.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 66.11, 450-499 lbs 72.78, and 500-549
lbs 72.71.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were mostly 4 to 5 cents higher;
elevator bids 4.14-4.79, processor bids 4.69-4.93. New Crop Soybeans
bids were 11 cents higher; elevator bids 9.31-9.61, processor bid 9.86
and export 10.16. Wheat bids were 1 cent lower to 4 cents higher;
elevator bids 4.84-5.12.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.21
higher at 68.20.
