SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,539 lbs at 189.82, heifers 1,347 lbs at 189.90. Dressed 
delivered steers 1,006 lbs at 296.97, heifers 865 lbs at 296.81.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 319.50, dn
2.83 and Select 288.37, dn 6.87.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are 3.00 higher and feeder pigs are 5.00 higher. Demand good 
for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 48.27; 40 lbs 
cash basis 64.06.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 64.22, 450-499 lbs 68.64, and 500-549 lbs 
70.56.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were mostly 2 cents higher and one 
location was 7 cents higher; elevator bids 4.21-4.86, processor bids 
4.76-4.81.  Soybeans bids were steady to 5 cents higher; elevator bids 
9.62-9.67, processor bid 10.03 and export 10.27.  Wheat bids were  
Steady to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 5.08.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.24 
lower at 66.43.
