SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week no comparisons made on 
feeder cattle due to limited comparable sales, slaughter cows 4.50 lower, slaughter 
bulls too few to trend. Moderate offering of average quality cattle with active buyer 
participation. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 280.00; 500-600 lbs 
240.00-257.50.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 280.00-285.00; 500-600 lbs 
none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 119.00-135.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 114.00-127.00; Lean 85-90% lean 112.00-117.00; Lean Low Dressing 60.00-105.00. 
Slaughter bulls: High Dressing none reported; Average Dressing 1555-1900 lbs 
151.00-158.00; Low Dressing 1090 lbs 138.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: None reported. 
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 64.53; 450-500 lbs 69.52; 500-550 lbs 70.13.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was 8 cents higher; elevator bids
4.31-4.96, processor bids 4.86-4.91. Soybeans were steady to 2 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.73-9.74, processor bids 10.09, and exports 10.33.  
Wheat bids were 1 to 18 cents higher; elevator bids 5.13.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 26 cents 
lower at 66.19.
