SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 278.00-320.00, 500-600 lbs 254.00-278.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 272.50-315.00, 500-600 lbs 240.00-268.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 231.00-255.00, 500-600 lbs 
229.00-245.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 110.00-121.00; Boners 
80%-85% lean 108.00-141.00; Lean 85-90% lean 95.00-120.00; Lean low 
dressing 85.00-108.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 850-2040 lbs 129.00
-167.50; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 845-2405 lbs 93.00-136.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 930-1185 lbs Middle Aged Cows with 
calves under 300 lbs 1550.00-2350.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 980-1065 
lb Middle Aged Cows with Calf over 300 lbs 1950.00-2025.00 per pair. Medium and 
Large 2 870-985 lbs Middle Aged Cows with Calves under 300 lbs 1525.00-1700.00 
per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs 63.19. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 64.91; 450-500 lbs 70.29; 500-550 lbs 71.33.     
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn bids 3 cents lower; elevator bids 
4.33-4.98, processor bids 4.88-4.93. Soybeans were 14 to 20 cents 
lower; elevator bids 9.80-9.90, processor bid 10.16, and exports 10.40. 
Wheat bids were 3 to 20 cents lower; elevator bids 4.92.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 92 cents  
lower at 65.77.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
