SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:  No comparisons on feeder cattle 
due to limited comparable sales. Slaughter cows sold unevenly steady. 
Slaughter bulls too few too trend. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
none reported; 500-600 lbs 261.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 251.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 245.00-267.50; 500-600 lbs 222.50-235.00. Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 113.00-123.00; Boners 80-85% lean 113.00-135.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 105.00-120.00; Lean Low Dressing 60.00-100.00. Slaughter 
bulls: Average Dressing 1415-2035 lbs 130.00-153.00; High Dressing none 
reported; Low Dressing 1425-1965 lbs 114.00-119.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium 
and Large 1 1145-1290 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 
2300.00-2375.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 60.12; 450-500 lbs 65.74; 500-550 lbs 67.07.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids
4.31-4.96, processor bids 4.86-4.91.  Soybean bids where mostly 12 to 13 
cents lower, one location 3 cents higher; elevator bids 9.47-9.57, processor 
bids 10.17, and exports at 10.07. Wheat bids were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.88.  
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 15 cents
higher at 67.93.
  Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
