SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,534 lbs at 186.39, heifers 1,346 lbs at 186.58. Dressed 
delivered steers 976 lbs at 291.56, heifers 859 lbs at 290.11.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 307.33, higher by 
1.22 and Select 272.67, down 5.98.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs were 4.00 higher and feeder pigs were steady. Feeder pigs 10
-12 lbs cash basis 56.33; 40 lbs cash basis 69.67.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows 
& Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows live 
price 300-449 lbs 58.14, 450-499 lbs 65.84, and 500-549 lbs 67.08.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were mostly steady to 1 cent lower, one 
location 20 cents higher; elevator bids 4.29-4.94, processor bids 4.84-5.09. 
Soybeans were 2 to 3 cents higher, one location 18 cents higher; elevator 
bids 9.55-9.65, processor bid 10.25 and exports at 10.30.  Wheat bids were 
steady to 9 cents lower; elevators quoted 4.75.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 95 cents higher
at 69.22.
