SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,540 lbs at 190.90, heifers 1,358 lbs at 190.83. Dressed 
delivered steers 1,004 lbs at 297.21, heifers 857 lbs at 296.66.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 310.41, dn
0.36 and Select 276.77, up 2.31.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are 4.00 per head higher and feeder pigs are 5.00 per head 
higher. Demand good for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash 
basis 63.91; 40 lbs cash basis 83.28.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 46.06, 450-499 lbs 53.49, and 500-549 
lbs 53.94.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 1 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.39-5.12, processor bids 4.94-5.22.  Soybeans bids were 3 cents lower; 
elevator bids 9.60-9.70, processor bid 10.15 and export 10.45.  Wheat 
bids were mixed, 1 cent lower to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 4.99.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.16 
lower at 68.20.                                                                
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
