SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,517 lbs at 198.93, heifers 1,359 lbs at 198.84. Dressed
delivered steers 1,008 lbs at 314.96, heifers 881 lbs at 314.11. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 324.58, up
5.00 and Select 295.05, up 6.17.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 5.00 higher and feeder pigs are 7.00 per head higher.
Demand firm for light to moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash
basis 82.00; 40 lbs cash basis 95.33.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows
live price 300-449 lbs 45.45, 450-499 lbs 47.77, and 500-549 lbs 51.43.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 7 cents higher; elevator bids
4.62-5.27, processor bids 5.17-5.37. Soybeans bids were 6 to 11 cents
higher; elevator bids 9.62-9.87, processor bid 10.32 and export 10.27.
Wheat bids were 7 to 11 cents higher; elevator bids 4.80.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.02
higher at 67.43.
