SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Compared to last week no comparisons 
made this week due to sales being closed for the holidays. Feeder Steers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 320.00-322.50; 500-600 lbs 290.00-317.50. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 320.00-397.50; 500-600 lbs 
302.50-310.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 255.00-
295.00; 500-600 lbs 250.00-270.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
124.00-131.00; Boners 80-85% lean 114.00-126.00; Lean 85-90% lean 112.00-
121.00; Lean Low Dressing 75.00-106.00. Slaughter bulls: High Dressing none 
reported; Average Dressing 1145-2000 lbs 144.00-158.00; Low Dressing 1295-
2010 lbs 135.00-145.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: none reported. 
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 60.13. Sows live 
price 300-450 lbs 46.98; 450-500 lbs 50.67; 500-550 lbs 52.04.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was 4 cents lower; elevator bids
4.59-5.24, processor bids 5.14-5.34. Soybeans were 3 to 5 cents lower; 
elevator bids 5.57-9.84, processor bids 10.29, and exports where 10.24.  
Wheat bids were 4 to 6 cents lower; elevator bids 4.76.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 28 cents
lower at 66.98.
