SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: No comparisons made this week on 
feeder cattle due to limited comparable sales. Slaughter cows and 
slaughter bulls were 4.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 340.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 282.50-297.50; 500-600 lbs 
250.00-252.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 126.00-129.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 120.00-132.00; Lean 85-90% lean 118.00-128.00; Lean Low 
Dressing 108.00. Slaughter bulls: High Dressing none reported; Average 
Dressing 895-2335 lbs 131.00-164.00; Low Dressing none reported. Cow/Calf 
Pairs: none reported. 
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. Sows live 
price 300-450 lbs 48.40; 450-500 lbs 56.11; 500-550 lbs 56.77.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was 4 to 5 cents higher; elevator bids
4.83-5.48, processor bids 5.53-5.58. Soybeans were 1 to 5 cents lower; 
elevator bids 10.13-10.43, processor bids 10.68, and exports were 10.73.  
Wheat bids were 1 to 5 cents higher; elevator bids 4.87.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.02  
lower at 66.27.
