Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no comparisons
made on feeder cattle due to limited comparable sales, slaughter cows 9.00
higher, slaughter bulls too few to trend. Moderate offering of average
quality cattle with active buyer participation. Feeder Steers: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 335.00; 500-600 lbs 312.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and
Large 1 400-500 lbs 260.00-280.00; 500-600 lbs 250.00-280.00. Feeder Heifers:
Medium and Large 1 400-500 315.00-330.00; 500-600 lbs 287.50. Slaughter
Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 122.00-138.00; Boners 80-85% lean 120.00-147.00;
Lean 85-90% lean 115.00-129.00; Lean Low Dressing 67.50-110.00. Slaughter

SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 4 to 5 cents lower; elevator bids
4.79-5.44, processor bids 5.49-5.54. Soybean bids were 23 to 24 cents lower;
elevator bids 9.89-10.19, processor bids 10.44, and exports at 10.49. Wheat
bids were 5 to 10 cents lower; elevator bids 4.77.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.04
lower at 65.23.
