SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: No comparisons made this week due to 
limited comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
350.00-367.50, 500-600 lbs 310.00-355.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs 350.00-430.00, 500-600 lbs 270.00-320.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 281.00-327.50, 500-600 lbs 255.00-297.50.  
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 137.00-157.00; Boners 80%-85% lean 
127.00-157.00; Lean 85-90% lean 106.00-147.00; Lean low dressing 75.00-
117.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 830-1940 lbs 131.00-180.00; 
High Dressing 930-2365 lbs 164.00-185.00; Low Dressing 800-1610 lbs 
115.00-138.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 980-1200 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows 
with calves under 300 lbs 1825.00-2125.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 
1040 lbs Young Age Cow with calf over 300 lbs 2200.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 57.96; 450-500 lbs 63.23; 500-550 lbs 63.92.
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was 3 cents higher; elevator bids 4.90-5.55, 
processor bids 5.60.  Soybeans were steady; elevator bids 10.15-10.45, 
processor bid 10.70 and export 10.75. Wheat was 3 to 10 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.85-5.70.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.29 
lower at 65.48.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
