Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: No comparisons made this week.
Moderate offerings of plain to average quality cattle with active buyer
participation. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 355.00-
380.00; 500-600 lbs 290.00-310.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1
400-500 lbs 320.00-350.00; 500-600 lbs 259.00-300.00. Feeder Heifers:
Medium and Large 1 400-500 none reported; 500-600 lbs 255.00. Slaughter
Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 128.00-144.00; Boners 80-85% lean 127.00-145.00;
Lean 85-90% lean 115.00-137.50; Lean Low Dressing 70.00-113.00. Slaughter
bulls: Average Dressing 1250-2265 lbs 145.00-159.00; High Dressing 1750

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct

Sows live price 300-450 lbs 58.84; 450-500 lbs 62.68; 500-550 lbs 65.70.
SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 7 cents lower; elevator bids
4.95-5.60, processor bids 5.65. Soybean bids were 16 cents lower;
elevator bids 10.14-10.44, processor bids 10.69, and exports at 10.74. Wheat
bids were 7 cents lower to 4 cents higher; elevator bids 5.06.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 14
cents lower at 65.02.
