SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Compared to last week no comparisons 
made due to limited comparable sales. Moderate offering of average to 
plain quality cattle with active buyer participation. Feeder Steers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none 
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 305.00; 500-600 
lbs none reported. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 134.00-139.00; 
Boners 80-85% lean 132.00-142.00; Lean 85-90% lean 122.00-135.00; Lean 
Low Dressing 105.00-109.00. Slaughter bulls: High Dressing 1785-2100 lbs 
160.00-161.00; Average Dressing 1605-1785 lbs 152.00-153.00; Low Dressing 
1270-1510 lbs 120.00-140.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: none reported.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. Sows live 
price 300-450 lbs 61.23; 450-500 lbs 70.32; 500-550 lbs 69.39.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 1 cent lower; elevator bids
4.98-5.63, processor bid 5.68. Soybeans were 18 cents lower; elevator bids 
10.27-10.57, processor bids 10.92, and exports were 10.82. Wheat bids were 
1 to 5 cents lower; elevator bids 5.12.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 86 cents
lower at 64.79.
