SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:  No comparisons made this week due 
to limited comparable sales. Light offerings of plain to average quality 
cattle due to wet conditions in the area with active buyer participation.   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 385.00; 500-600 lbs none 
reported.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
none reported; 500-600 lbs 257.50. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean 120.00-152.00; Boners 80-85% lean 125.00-146.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
110.00-132.00; Lean Low Dressing 62.00-120.00. Slaughter bulls: Average 
Dressing 965-1890 lbs 140.00-165.00; High Dressing none reported; Low 
Dressing 1205 lbs 138.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1070-1140 
lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 2000.00-3100.00 
per pair. Medium and large 1 1150 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf 
over 300 lbs 2775.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 3.00 higher at 63.89. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 69.62; 450-500 lbs 75.68; 500-550 lbs 77.88.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3 cents higher; elevator bids
4.88-5.63, processor bids 5.68.  Soybean bids were 2-3 cents higher; 
elevator bids 10.10-10.30, processor bids 10.65, and exports at 10.55. 
Wheat bids were 3-4 cents higher; elevator bids 5.17.  
     Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 64 
cent lower at 65.83.
