SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:  No comparisons made this week due 
to limited comparable sales. Light offerings of plain to average quality 
cattle due to wet conditions in the area with active buyer participation.   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 370.00; 500-600 lbs none 
reported.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 290.00-305.00; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
280.00-355.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean 130.00-145.00; Boners 80-85% lean 125.00-146.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
110.00-140.00; Lean Low Dressing 70.00-107.50. Slaughter bulls: Average 
Dressing 975-1900 lbs 147.00-175.00; High Dressing none reported; Low 
Dressing 1220-1405 lbs 122.00-138.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 
1120-1195 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 2050.00
-2450.00 per pair. Medium and large 2 845-1175 lbs Young to Middle Aged 
Cows with calf over 300 lbs 1350.00-1950.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 1.64 higher at 68.40. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 72.42; 450-500 lbs 78.89; 500-550 lbs 81.30.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3 cents higher; elevator bids
4.88-5.63, processor bids 5.68.  Soybean bids were 2-3 cents higher; 
elevator bids 10.10-10.30, processor bids 10.65, and exports at 10.55. 
Wheat bids were 3-4 cents higher; elevator bids 5.17.  
     Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 21 
cents lower at 66.47.
