SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,495 lbs at 199.64, heifers 1,370 lbs at 199.43. Dressed
delivered steers 968 lbs at 315.12, heifers 874 lbs at 315.18. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 313.76, down
5.71 and Select 303.89, down 6.56.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 5.00 lower and feeder pigs are 3.00 higher. Demand
good to moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
78.71; 40 lbs cash basis 115.58.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 1.71 higher
at 67.43. Sows live price 300-449 lbs 74.42, 450-499 lbs 81.90, and 500-
549 lbs 82.47.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 9 cents lower; elevator bids
4.77-5.52, processor bids 5.57. Soybeans bids were 10 cents lower;
elevator bids 10.09-10.29, processor bid 10.64 and export 10.49. Wheat
bids were mostly 11 cents lower; elevator bids 5.19.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.54
higher at 66.88.
