SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:
No comparisons made this week on feeder cattle due to limited
comparable sales. Slaughter cows 4.00-6.00 higher, slaughter bulls steady
to 5.50 higher, both based on limited comparable sales. Moderate offerings
of plain to average quality cattle with active buyer participation. Feeder
Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 320.00-355.00; 500-600 lbs 313.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 320.00-385.00; 500-600 lbs none
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 276.00-315.00; 500
-600 lbs 267.50-275.00. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 131.00-144.00;

SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 13 to 14 cents lower; elevator bids
4.59-5.34, processor bids 5.39. Soybean bids were 1 to 2 cents lower;
elevator bids 10.02-10.22, processor bids 10.57, and exports at 10.42.
Wheat bids were 13 to 20 cents lower; elevator bids 4.86-5.47.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 27
cents lower at 65.60.
