SC Farm Report on Thursday

Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:
	No comparisons made this week due to limited comparable sales. 
Light offerings of plain to average quality cattle with active buyer 
participation. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 385.00; 
500-600 lbs 320.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 375.00
-405.00; 500-600 lbs 290.00-295.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 
400-500 lbs 285.00-290.00; 500-600 lbs 265.00. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 
75-80% lean 138.00-155.00; Boners 80-85% lean 134.00-165.00; Lean 85-90% 
lean 125.00-141.00; Lean Low Dressing 90.00-119.00. Slaughter bulls: 
Average Dressing 1150-1845 lbs 165.00-177.00; High Dressing none reported; 
Low Dressing none reported. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 960-1250 
lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 1475.00-2100.00 per 
pair.
	Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 73.69; 450-500 lbs 82.65; 500-550 lbs 83.40.
	SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 9 cents higher; elevator 
bids 5.19, processor bids 5.24. Soybean bids were 15-17 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.94-10.14, processor bids 10.54, and exports at 10.32. 
Wheat bids were 6-9 cents higher; elevator bids 4.77.  
	Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.54 
higher at 64.21.
	Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday. Beets 25 lb filmbags Red type topped 18.00; Cilantro
