SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 
400-500 lbs 375.00-395.00, 500-600 lbs 310.00-345.00. Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 340.00-362.50, 500-600 lbs 300.00-312.50. 
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 285.00-307.50, 500-600 lbs 
250.00-302.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 135.00-164.00; Boners 
80%-85% lean 130.00-162.00; Lean 85-90% lean 120.00-137.50; Lean low 
dressing 82.50-117.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1300-1770 lbs 
153.00-164.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1580 lbs 140.00.             
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 3 1020 lbs Aged Cow with calf under 150       
lbs 1150.00 per pair. Small 2 720 lbs Young Aged Cow with calf under 300 
lbs 1950.00.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs not reported. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 73.06; 450-500 lbs 78.59; 500-550 lbs 80.94.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 5 cents higher; elevator 
bid 5.23, processor bid 5.28. Soybeans were mostly 9 to 10 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.77-9.97, processor bid 10.51, and exports were
10.16. Wheat bids were 4 to 8 cents higher; elevator bid 4.88.
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 
45 cents lower at 65.53.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
