SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400
-500 lbs 390.00; 500-600 lbs 312.50. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 397.50-407.50; 500-600 lbs 327.50-337.50. Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 290.00-332.50; 500-600 lbs 250.00-295.00. Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 139.00-150.00; Boners 80-85% lean 135.00-151.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 124.00-142.00; Lean Low Dressing 85.00-121.00. Slaughter 
bulls: High Dressing none reported; Average Dressing 1155-2295 lbs 163.00-
180.00; Low Dressing 1085-1190 lbs 140.00-160.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium 
and Large 1 955-1360 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calves under 300 
lbs 2400.00-3125.00 per pair. Medium and Large 1 970-1465 lbs Young to

   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 2.36 lower at 65.93. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 67.50; 450-500 lbs 75.76; 500-550 lbs 77.82.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 2-4 cents higher; elevator bids
5.32, processor bid 5.37. Soybeans were 4-5 cents lower; elevator 
bids 9.88-10.08, processor bids 10.48, and exports were 10.13. Wheat bids 
were mixed 2 cents lower to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 5.03.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 12 cents
lower at 64.85.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
