SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,536 lbs at 212.76, heifers 1,371 lbs at 212.54. Dressed
delivered steers 985 lbs at 335.15, heifers 872 lbs at 335.21. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 325.52, up
5.95 and Select 308.96, up 1.93.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are and feeder pigs are 2.00 lower. Demand light to moderate
for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 52.05; 40 lbs
cash basis 104.53.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 66.42, 450-499 lbs 73.32, and 500-549 lbs
74.84.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were steady; elevator bids 4.34-5.34,
processor bids 5.39. Soybeans bids were 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator
bids 9.87-10.07, processor bid 10.47 and export 10.12. Wheat bids were
steady to 10 cents lower; elevator bids 4.88.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.15
higher at 63.92.
