SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,504 lbs at 212.14, heifers 1,371 lbs at 211.94. Dressed
delivered steers 982 lbs at 338.32, heifers 859 lbs at 336.90. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 333.83, up
8.30 and Select 316.46, up 7.50.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 1.00 lower and feeder pigs are 5.00 lower. Demand light
to moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 50.97;
40 lbs cash basis 99.52.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 63.18, 450-499 lbs 70.57, and 500-549 lbs
72.48.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.27-
5.27, processor bids 5.32. Soybeans bids were 8 to 9 cents lower; elevator
bids 9.95-10.40, processor bid 10.45 and export 10.20. Wheat bids were
4 to 9 cents higher; elevator bids 4.77.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.07 lower
at 65.58.
