SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400
-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 340.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 392.50; 500-600 lbs 327.50. Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 325.00-335.00; 500-600 lbs 302.50. Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 138.00-146.00; Boners 80-85% lean 141.00-
150.00; Lean 85-90% lean 127.00-139.00; Lean Low Dressing 107.00-120.00. 
Slaughter bulls: High Dressing 1710-2020 lbs 187.00-189.00; Average 
Dressing 1535-1955 lbs 166.00-185.00; Low Dressing 1110-1185 lbs 154.00-
160.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 1045 lbs Young to Middle Aged
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 2700.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 930-
1055 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calves over 300 lbs 2725.00-2825.00 
per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 0.96 lower at 67.65. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 60.67; 450-500 lbs 70.65; 500-550 lbs 70.44.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 4 cents lower; elevator bids
4.27-5.27, processor bids 5.32. Soybeans were 5 cents lower; elevator 
bids 10.09, processor bids 10.59, and exports were 10.34. Wheat bids 
were 1-4 cents lower; elevator bids 4.79.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 45 cents
lower at 66.55.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
