SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,511 lbs at 211.14, heifers 1,363 lbs at 210.95. Dressed
delivered steers 978 lbs at 336.47, heifers 868 lbs at 336.31. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 338.84, up
5.02 and Select 319.19, up 2.73.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 3.00 lower and feeder pigs are 6.00 lower. Demand moderate
for light to moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 47.58;
40 lbs cash basis 93.32.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 57.17, 450-499 lbs 67.91, and 500-549 lbs
66.69.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.34-
5.34, processor bids 5.39. Soybeans bids were 6 cents higher; elevator
bids 9.63, processor bid 9.98 and export 9.88. Wheat bids were
4 to 8 cents higher; elevator bids 4.77.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.63
higher at 64.74.
