SC Farm Report on Thursday

Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:
   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 
lbs 365.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 
lbs 310.00-360.00; 500-600 lbs 290.00-330.00. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 
75-80% lean 138.00-149.00; Boners 80-85% lean 133.00-155.00; Lean 85-90% 
lean 120.00-131.00; Lean Low Dressing 98.00. Slaughter bulls: Average 
Dressing 1550-2065 155.00-177.00; High Dressing 1890 lbs 194.00; Low 
Dressing 1675 lbs 158.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 915 lbs 
Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 1975.00 per pair. 
Medium and Large 2 860-1110 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf over 
300 lbs 2850.00-2900.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 77 cents lower 
at 67.85. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 57.20; 450-500 lbs 65.44; 500-550 
lbs 66.65.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 9 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.53-5.53, processor bids 5.58. Soybean bids were 16-17 cents higher; 
elevator bids 10.09, processor bids 10.44, and exports at 10.34. 
Wheat bids were mixed 4 cents lower to 9 cents higher; elevator bids 4.78.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 16 cents 
lower at 65.22.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
