SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,539 lbs at 207.70, heifers 1,376 lbs at 207.18. Dressed
delivered steers 982 lbs at 327.73, heifers 880 lbs at 327.81. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 336.79, dn
2.05 and Select 318.18, dn 1.01.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 3.00 lower and feeder pigs no trend. Demand light
for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 44.15;
40 lbs cash basis n/a.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 56.29, 450-499 lbs 63.79, and 500-549 lbs
66.73.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 5 cents lower; elevator bids 4.55-
5.55, processor bids 5.60. Soybeans bids were 1 cent lower; elevator
bids 10.21-10.66, processor bid 10.56 and export 10.46. Wheat bids were
5 to 9 cents lower; elevator bids 4.87.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.80
lower at 62.84.
