SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 355.00-372.50. Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 315.00-330.00. 
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 317.50-342.50; 500-600 
lbs none reported. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 140.00; 
Boners 80-85% lean 139.00-152.00; Lean 85-90% lean 139.00; Lean 
Low Dressing 117.00-124.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1830 lbs 
165.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1180 lbs 112.00. 
Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1 1110 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows 
with calves over 300 lbs 2475.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 835 lbs 
Young to Middle Aged Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1375.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 3.91 lower at 62.95. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 54.21; 450-500 lbs 68.00; 500-550 lbs 64.65.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 3 cents higher; elevator bids
4.54-5.54, processor bids 5.59. Soybeans were 2-3 cents higher; elevator 
bids 9.43-10.63, and exports were 10.43. Wheat bids were 3-6 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.87.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 71 
cents higher at 64.54.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
