SC Farm Report on Thursday

Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday:
   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 360.00-385.00; 500-600 
lbs 355.00-385.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 315.00-
382.00; 500-600 lbs 315.00-320.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 
400-500 lbs 315.00-330.00; 500-600 lbs 280.00-305.00. Slaughter Cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 130.00-148.00; Boners 80-85% lean 129.00-155.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 117.00-135.00; Lean Low Dressing 62.50-128.00. Slaughter 
bulls: Average Dressing 1460-1955 164.00-178.00; High Dressing none 
reported; Low Dressing 875-1790 lbs 147.00-156.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium 
and Large 1 985 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 
2525.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 900 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows 
with calf under 300 lbs 1900.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 2.28 higher 
at 65.23. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 54.01; 450-500 lbs 63.81; 500-550 
lbs 63.63.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 2 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.52-5.52, processor bids 5.57. Soybean bids were 2 to 3 cents lower 
lower; elevator bids 9.41-10.61, and exports at 10.41. Wheat bids were 
mixed 2 cents lower to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 4.89.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.84 
higher at 66.38.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
