SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,514 lbs at 211.63, heifers 1,338 lbs at 211.09. Dressed
delivered steers 975 lbs at 336.81, heifers 862 lbs at 335.88. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 333.80, dn
2.99 and Select 315.48, dn 2.70.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are steady to 2.00 lower and feeder pigs no comparison.
Demand steady for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
41.68; 40 lbs cash basis 82.81
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 50.77, 450-499 lbs 64.74, and 500-549 lbs
62.37.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids
4.51-5.51, processor bids 5.56. Soybeans bids were 7 cents lower; elevator
bids 9.34-10.54, processor bid n/a and export 10.34. Wheat bids were
steady to 11 cents lower; elevator bids 4.78.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.31
lower at 66.07.
