SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 330.00-342.50. Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none 
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 292.50-
340.00; 500-600 lbs 275.00-301.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean 135.00; Boners 80-85% lean 146.00-154.00; Lean 85-90% lean 130.00
-144.00; Lean Low Dressing none reported. Slaughter bulls: Average 
Dressing 1185-1895 lbs 157.00-174.00; High Dressing none reported; 
Low Dressing 2205 lbs 146.00. Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1 1050
-1285 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calves under 300 lbs 2725.00-

   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were not reported. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 51.71; 450-500 lbs 60.58; 500-550 lbs 62.19.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 3-4 cents lower; elevator bids
4.42-5.42, processor bids 5.47. Soybeans were 5 cents higher; elevator 
bids 9.45-10.65, and exports were 10.45. Wheat bids were 4-7 cents 
lower; elevator bids 4.68.  
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.56 
higher at 68.03.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
