SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 380.00; 500-600 lbs 340.00-379.00. Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 400.00; 500-600 lbs 315.00-340.00. 
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 310.00-335.00; 500-
600 lbs 270.00-282.50. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 137.00; 
Boners 80-85% lean 132.00-152.00; Lean 85-90% lean 123.00-138.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 70.00-124.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 
none reported; High Dressing 1935 lbs 190.00; Low Dressing 1905 lbs 
148.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 825-1085 lbs Young to 
Middle Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 2100.00-2575.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 67.58. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 53.12; 450-500 lbs 63.51; 500-550 lbs 61.47.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 5 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.47-5.47, processor bids 5.52. Soybean bids were 13 cents 
higher; elevator bids 9.58-10.78, and exports at 10.58. Wheat bids 
were 1-5 cents higher; elevator bids 4.69.  
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 
14 cents higher at 68.17.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
