SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,511 lbs at 216.32, heifers 1,382 lbs at 215.18. Dressed
delivered steers 989 lbs at 341.42, heifers 872 lbs at 340.70. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 333.48, dn
0.32 and Select 333.48, up 2.00.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are 3.00 higher and feeder pigs steady. Demand good for
limited offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 44.81; 40 lbs cash basis
82.94
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 52.03, 450-499 lbs 61.32, and 500-549 lbs
59.47.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids
4.45-5.45, processor bids 5.50. Soybeans bids were 2 to 3 cents higher; elevator
bids 9.57-10.77, processor bid n/a and export 10.57. Wheat bids were
4 to 15 cents lower; elevator bids 4.55.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.25
lower at 66.55.
