SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs 390.00-395.00; 500-600 lbs 350.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 390.00; 500-600 lbs 330.00-350.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 317.50-332.50; 500-600 lbs 
287.50-317.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 140.00-152.00; 
Boners 80-85% lean 142.00-156.00; Lean 85-90% lean 135.00-149.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 115.00-118.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 
1005-1960 lbs 165.00-174.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 
1220-1250 lbs 136.00-163.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Small 3 780 lbs Young to 
Middle Aged Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1275.00 per pair.    
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 1.26 higher at 71.48. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 50.75; 450-500 lbs 56.68; 500-550 lbs 58.72.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 7 cents higher; elevator bids
4.37-5.37, processor bids 5.42. Soybeans were 6-9 cents lower; elevator 
bids 9.39-10.59, and exports were 10.39. Wheat bids were 7-8 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.53.  
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 47 
cents lower at 65.02.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
