SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 305.00-310.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-
600 lbs 310.00-330.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 320.00-340.00; 500-600 lbs 280.00-332.50. Slaughter Cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 146.00-159.00; Boners 80-85% lean 140.00-
151.00; Lean 85-90% lean 137.00-139.00; Lean Low Dressing 111.00. 
Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1060-1925 lbs 164.00-176.00; 
High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1165-1270 lbs 155.00. 
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1105 lbs Young to Middle Aged 
Cows with calf under 300 lbs 2800.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 66 cents 
higher at 72.14. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 50.94; 450-500 lbs 
57.26; 500-550 lbs 59.24.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.34-5.34, processor bids 5.39. Soybean bids were 5-6 cents 
higher; elevator bids 9.45-10.65, and exports at 10.45. Wheat bids 
were mixed, 3 cents lower to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 4.55.  
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 
36 cents lower at 64.66.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia
