SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 360.00-363.00; 500-600 lbs 330.00-350.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-
600 lbs 340.00-350.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 
lbs 300.00-370.00; 500-600 lbs 303.00-375.00. Slaughter Cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 165.00; Boners 80-85% lean 142.00-168.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 145.00-155.00; Lean Low Dressing 80.00-134.00. 
Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1165-2005 lbs 175.00-185.00; 
High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 890-1920 lbs 110.00-
168.50. Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1300 lbs Young to Middle 
Aged Cows with calf under 300 lbs 2350.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National 
Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 1.72 
higher at 73.62. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 60.40; 450-500 lbs 
67.31; 500-550 lbs 71.01.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 2 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.23-5.43, processor bids 5.23-5.53. Soybean bids were 4-5 
cents higher; elevator bids 9.57-10.82, and exports at 10.62. Wheat 
bids were 5 cents lower; elevator bids 4.94.  
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 
44 cents lower at 64.63.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia
