SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 360.00-370.00; 500-600 lbs 315.00-324.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 310.00-344.00; 500-600 lbs 
301.00-330.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none 
reported; 500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean 139.00-158.00; Boners 80-85% lean 140.00-165.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
139.00-147.00; Lean Low Dressing 85.00-134.00. Slaughter Bulls: 
Average Dressing 1110-1670 lbs 168.00-176.00; High Dressing 1980-
2000 lbs 187.00-191.00; Low Dressing 1050-1115 lbs 146.00-170.00. Cow/
Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1160-1180 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows 
with calf under 300 lbs 2800.00-2900.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were 72.95. Sows live 
price 300-450 lbs 60.30; 450-500 lbs 69.59; 500-550 lbs 70.26.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn bids were 3-4 cents higher; elevator bids 
3.99-5.19, processor bids 4.99-5.29. Soybean bids were 6-8 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.41-10.11, and exports at 10.56. Wheat bids were 2-3 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.56-4.95.  
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 37 
cents higher at 64.36.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday. Beans Snap type 15.00, Blue Lake type 29.00,
