SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: No comparisons made this week on 
feeder & slaughter cattle due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 350.00-380.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 
none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs 282.50-315.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 144.00-
148.00; Boners 80-85% lean 145.00-156.00; Lean 85-90% lean 141.00-144.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 75.00-127.00. Slaughter bulls: High Dressing none reported; 
Average Dressing 1 @ 1735 lbs 191.00; Low Dressing 1 @ 1145 lbs 165.00. 
Cow/Calf Pairs: Small 1 665-760lbs w/ calf 150-300 lbs 1750.00-1950.00. 
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 77.69. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 60.12; 450-500 lbs 67.75; 500-550 lbs 70.63.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was 1 to 2 cents lower; elevator bids
3.97-5.17, processor bids 4.97-5.27. Soybeans were 7 to 8 cents lower; 
elevator bids 9.40-10.10 and exports were 10.55.  Wheat bids were steady
to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 4.50-4.87.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.05  
higher at 64.47.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
