SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,471 lbs at 238.68 heifers 1,341 lbs at 237.04. Dressed
delivered steers 985 lbs at 380.06, heifers 861 lbs at 378.70. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 373.67, up
7.97 and Select 361.22, up 4.28.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
compared to last week, no trend. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 52.65;
40 lbs cash basis 80.21.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 104.95.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 61.94 450-499 lbs 69.28, and 500-549 lbs
72.22.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 9 to 10 cents lower; elevator bids
4.07-5.27, processor bids 3.95-5.35. Soybeans bids were mostly steady,
one location 35 cents higher; elevator bids 9.60-10.31, processor bid n/a
and export 11.10. New Crop Wheat bids were 7 to 9 cents lower; elevator
bids 4.45-6.87.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.44
higher at 65.80.
