SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,474 lbs at 229.43, heifers 1,320 lbs at 227.33. Dressed
delivered steers 959 lbs at 369.52, heifers 864 lbs at 369.47. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 393.94, down
0.25 and Select 380.73, down 0.16.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early
weaned pigs are steady, feeder pigs mostly 2.00 lower. Demand
moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 55.75; 40
lbs cash basis 88.29.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 74.62, 450-499 lbs 82.92, and 500-549
lbs 85.39.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn was mostly 13 cents lower; elevator bids 3.78-
4.98, processor bids 4.53-5.18. New crop soybeans bids were 28 to 29 cents lower;
elevator bids 9.21-9.91, and export 10.61. Wheat bids were 8 to 17 cents lower;
elevator bids 4.28-4.68.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.27
lower at 66.29.
