SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400
-500 lbs 382.50-397.50; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 312.50-330.00. Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs none 
reported. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 166.00-172.00; Boners 80-85% 
lean 152.00-165.00; Lean 85-90% lean 148.00; Lean Low Dressing 127.00. 
Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1750-2125 lbs 179.00-192.00; High Dressing 
1750-1985 lbs 200.00-205.00; Low Dressing 1370 lbs 164.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: 
Small 1 600 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1775.00 
per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average.  National Direct Barrows 
& Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 0.23 lower at 80.43. Sows live price 
300-450 lbs 77.21; 450-500 lbs 87.23; 500-550 lbs 88.60.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were too few to trend; elevator bids 4.14-
4.90, processor bids 4.55-5.05. Soybean bids were 18 cents higher; elevator bids 
9.53, export bids 10.63. Wheat bids were 3-4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.44-4.81. 
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 26 cents 
lower at 66.20.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State Farmers
