SC Farm Report on Thursday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Wednesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1 400-500 lbs 370.00-398.00; 500-600 lbs 349.00-372.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 350.00; 500-600 lbs 300.00
-323.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 
500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter Cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
155.00-164.00; Boners 80-85% lean 140.00-167.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
134.00-145.00; Lean Low Dressing 71.00-138.00. Slaughter Bulls: 
Average Dressing 1515-1810 lbs 182.00-195.00; High Dressing 1610-1730

   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs were not reported. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 79.13; 450-500 lbs 88.29; 500-550 lbs 88.73.
   SC Grain on Thursday: Corn had too few bids to trend, New Crop was 1 
cent lower; elevator bids 4.07-4.83, processor bids 4.48-4.98. Soybean 
bids were 4 to 5 cents lower; elevator bids 9.45, export bids at 
10.65. Wheat bids were 1 to 9 cents lower; elevator bids 4.32-4.80. 
   Cotton on Thursday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 72 
cents higher at 66.59.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
