SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,474 lbs at 229.43, heifers 1,320 lbs at 227.33. Dressed 
delivered steers 964 lbs at 369.30, heifers 840 lbs at 368.00. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 386.75, down 
7.19 and Select 373.32, down 7.41.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early 
weaned pigs 2.00 lower, feeder pigs steady. Mostly moderate demand 
moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 
55.23; 40 lbs cash basis 77.61.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available. 
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 78.10, 450-499 lbs 87.64, and 500-549 
lbs 90.10.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn had too few bids to trend, New Crop was 5 to 6 
cents lower; elevator bids 4.04-4.78, processor bids 4.43-4.93. Soybean 
bids were 10 cents lower, New Crop 9 to 10 cents lower; elevator 
bids 9.28, and export 10.48. Wheat bids were steady 5 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.29-4.78.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 39 cents
higher at 66.65.                                                                 
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
