SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,491 lbs at 239.38, heifers 1,334 lbs at 237.99. Dressed
delivered steers 981 lbs at 379.50, heifers 845 lbs at 379.22. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 386.75, down
7.19 and Select 373.32, down 7.41.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early
weaned pigs are steady to 1.00 lower and feeder pigs are 5.00 lower.
Mostly moderate demand for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs
cash basis 54.19; 40 lbs cash basis 72.68.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 83.48, 450-499 lbs 89.47, and 500-549
lbs 92.02.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 3.82-
4.72, processor bids 4.62. Soybean bids were 7 cents higher; elevator
bids 9.09, processor bid 6.66 and export 10.29. Wheat bids were
steady to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 4.56.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 80 cents
lower at 63.56.
